For those looking ahead to April, here's is how series have come out by seeding position. Boston was a #3 seed last spring, while Vancouver was #1. The finals aren't included, and the list goes back to 1994. (An alert reader noticed we are missing a later-round series; I'll check that out shortly.)
1 vs. 8 – Team 1 has won 25 of 34 (.735)
2 vs. 7 – Team 2 has won 19 of 34 (.559)
3 vs. 6 – Team 3 has won 22 of 34 (.647)
4 vs. 5 – Team 4 has won 22 of 34 (.647)
